Things to note:
- If you are traveling north on Highway 101 and then west on Highway 128 through Anderson Valley, cell service will be unavailable for most of the stretch of Highway 128 and a good portion of Highway 1 as well.
- Coastal roads and county highways, with the exception of Highway 101, tend to be 2-lane roads with lots of curves. Take it easy, enjoy the scenery, and pull over for folks who want to drive faster. And if you're one of those fast drivers, maybe slow down and savor the journey.
- At 3500 square miles, Mendocino County is roughly the same size as Marin, Alameda, Sonoma, and Napa counties combined. It's a big place! Be sure to account for distances and our curvy country roads when you're planning outings.
